Greetings From Mars

2015

The theme of this series is space exploration, but it also looks at our relationship with the image in the age of constant connection. It's now possible to cross the globe cheaply and easily, and we're always on the lookout for the exotic and new. At the same time, we're faced with an irrepressible need to share our adventures in real time. We've gone from "I think, therefore I am" to "I document, therefore I am", and we're entitled to wonder what has become of the travel experience since "remoteness" as such no longer exists. Do we seek a change of scenery and discover new environments, or simply take images of ourselves that will prove our existence?
